Dark flared pants for a pear shaped body
The black trousers are great for my pear body shape. The flare of the pant legs balances my hips and the dark color makes my bottom appear smaller compared to my upper body. The legs are a little longer, so that they cover a small heel and as a result I appear taller and slimmer. Yay!
The top is tight enough to show off my slim upper body without revealing too much in a business environment (it is made out of a thin wool). Its color goes perfectly with my personal coloring.
Wearing a jacket that flares out at the waist with a pear shape
The jacket is actually a no-go for pears. I know you should not buy these kinds of jackets as they flare out at the waist and thus hide the smallest part of my body. Still I have several, I just cannot resist. This particular one I had to buy because I love the pattern, it is just gorgeous and goes really well with my hair.
I bought the jacket on a trip to Spain, so it reminds me of the great time I had there.
