Parndorf Outlet introduction
Most of the shops in the Parndorf outlet are focused on international designer brands. There are no houseware or other non fashion related brands at this outlet but they do cover sport and outdoor brands as well as leather and accessoirs.
Parndorf is only 40 minutes by car from Vienna. From Bratislava it is even less, you can reach the outlet in half an hour.
The outlet covers everything you need for a shopping spree, from high street to high end designer brands however do not expect the super discounts found in some of the US outlets. Especially the US brands like Tommy Hilfiger or Ralph Lauren are still way more expensive than in say a Premium Groupt outlet in the US.
That being said considering the outlet is very close metropolitan areas like Vienna or Bratislava you will still save a lot of money! Some of the stores available in Parndorf are also not available in the inner cities, especially Bratislava.
Tourists from Asia, the middle east or Africa will find the prices at Parndorf very enticing compared to their home countries!
Parndorf Outlet Directions
The chapters below show how you can reach the outlet with a car, via public transportation, via shuttle service or via plane.
The address of the factory outlet (for your GPS) is
Designer Outlet Parndorf
Designer Outlet Straße 1
To get there by car from Vienna take the A-4 highway from the city until exit # 43 Neusiedl a. See. Once you leave the highway cross under the street and you will see the outlet mall on your left side. Depending on traffic the journey takes between 30 and 40 minutes.
Please note that the highways in Austria are toll roads so in case you are coming from out of Austria you need to buy a vignette before you enter. You do not need to buy a whole year as there are also options for 10 days or two months.
The current price for a 10 day sticker is 8,70 Euro, you can check the rates here. Getting caught without a vignette is very expensive and also causes delays so we advise you to get one before you enter Austria.
A journey from Bratislava to the Designer Outlet Parndorf only takes 30 minutes making this also a prime candidate for outlet shopping in Slovakia. To go there from Bratislava use the D-2 (
The Parndorf outlet is so close to Vienna it is actually a very good alternative to go there by public transport. The Öbb homepage offers connection information for the metropolitan Vienna region, just put the station “Parndorf Designer Outlet Center” in the to field. Enter your current location in Austria in the from address and check the connections.
Plan 45 minutes for a journey from the Vienna main station so especially for international travellers there is no need to rent a car. The return ticket from the Vienna main station costs 32€ for two persons, you need to plan an additional 2€ per person for the transfer from the train-station to the Parndorf outlet itself.
On Friday and Saturday there are also buses leaving just opposite the opera. The price is 11€ for a round trip. For shoppers planning to take a bus back to Vienna plan to be a bit earlier at the bus stop especially on weekends or other busy days. The buses have limited capacity and you cannot reserve a seat. As they leave every hour missing one might be inconvenient…
In case you consider a shopping trip without a car from Bratislava you can use Slovak lines shuttle buses leaving from Mlynské Nivy in Bratislava.
The closest international airport is the Vienna International Airport. The airport is the hub for Austrian Airways, the no frills carrier Niki also has its base there. There are many international connections available, especially to eastern Europe and Asia.
Travelers can also use the Bratislava Airport however due to the huge number of international connections Vienna should be the better option.
